Aimof the research

The aim of this research will be to analyze the relationship betweenmusic, sound and narrative in mediaeval-themed films. Harry Potterand the Goblin of Fire is the selected movie. As well, the researcherwill look to determine the interaction between different visual,narrative and sound elements of in the movie. In doing so, theresearch will look into the utilization of music as an essentialunderlay whose purpose is to synchronize the different elements ofthe film. As well, the paper will appraise the use of music to makescenes unique and drive their message to the audience, and how it isused as a transition tool from one scene to the next. The authorapproaches the research with knowledge that musical themes, as wellas certain sound elements, can be used to relay different meanings infilm.

In the movie Harry Potter and the Goblin of Fire, the author usesdifferent musical styles and instruments to produce sounds thatenhance the message in different scenes, with emphasis on portrayingthe mediaeval themes artistically.
