This IT blog proposal evaluates the governmental and strategicframework that forms the function of information technology (IT) inpublic policy. Further, it explores the numerous scopes of therelationship prevailing between public policy and IT, with allusionto the rising interest in innovative governance concepts and the newpublic management (NPM). According to Cordellaand Iannacci (2010) and Pereira, Macadar, Luciano, and Testa (2016),IT ensures productivity, efficiency in management capabilities andadministration, and quality service delivery. Thus, it is critical tolook at the new governance models and the correlation between IT andpublic policy. These representations are grounded on are-configuration of the conventional structural designs in both thepublic and private sector where information technologies have hugelyplayed a critical role (Hsu, Ray,and Li-Hsieh, 2014). Furthermore, there exist administrativeand political forces, which have influenced the adaptation andapplication of IT across states. The efficiency of the association inpublic policy construction and execution is a significant element inthe deployment and adoption of IT within the public sector. Thecollaboration also helps in forging new governance models and hybridsof public and private actors (Pereira et al., 2016). Currently, IThas become a multidisciplinary structure, which has allowed firms andpolicymakers cultivate solutions and create strategies hence, itsincreased utilization in public policy platforms.

ITdeployment in Public Service

The process of deploying a system of IT in public policy would bedone in a framework with different degrees. The integration of ITinto the structural design and purpose of public policy would be inthe form of the following degrees:

The process of restructuring refers to undertaking a change in theblueprint of the systems of governance which provide managing andsteering mechanisms for the public sector to ensure that it organizesits resources. The degree of IT deployment, which covers onreframing, connotes the alteration of the purpose and vision of anorganization towards enhancing transformations in decision-makingthat originates from horizontal networking with similar shiftsoccurring in the technological realms (Noveck,2009). On the other hand, the degree of retooling encapsulatescreating a change of policy instruments and significant policyinitiatives.

Policyimplementation.

The IT policy adoption and implementation in the framework of publicpolicy would be an engaging process. It involves a collective move byan organization and a consultative approach among the variousstakeholders of this undertaking. This IT adoption and implementationwould resonance with various settings from academics to business.This is because the policy proposal presents a clear framework foraddressing the information hiccups and communication challengesexperienced in the general operations of the organization.

Proposedresearch aspects

The proposal seeks to address a critical aspect of IT and publicpolicy on the frontier of creating efficiency and greater performancestandards. This policy paper, therefore, proposes further research onthe designing, effective deployment and creative use of informationtechnology in different organizations. These areas of research shouldaddress both the strengths and weakness of the underlying ITundertaking within an organization and the potential benefits thatwould be derived from such undertakings. This further research intothe intersection of the IT and public policy should be done on thebasis of case study analysis from a sample of organizations that haveadopted and implemented such policies in their operations. Theresearch would hugely compose primary sources with an in-depthscrutiny of facts and underlying prospects presented in the collectedqualitative and quantitative data. When the research seeks to presenta more factual analysis, the most appropriate individuals toundertake it would be persons with some IT knowledge and expertise.

For instance, thereframing degree of deployment looks into the critical aspects of thepublic sectors embracing the application of relevant IT systems likeelectronic commerce and e-governance. As argued by Kernaghan,(2014), these have ensured strengthening of informationaccessibility and dissemination in record time and enhancement ofperformance levels across the organization. Retooling has furtherensured conceivability of the information systems with regards toenhancing organizational efficiency and productivity throughappropriate information handling. Restructuring ensures thatinformation helps to improve communication and understanding withinthe organization. This will give people the chance to accessinformation and gain insight on the operations of the organizationevery time they need it.

Conclusion

The need to adopt and implement appropriate IT systems within theoperations of organization is highly inevitable. The world ishighly evolving in terms of the advancements in the IT innovation anddeployment across all the sectors of the economy (Roy,2008). Therefore, it is of great significance to addressquestions on best to adopt and implement IT framework in anorganization’s operations, the challenges and potential benefitsthat the organization would derive from implementing a particular ITsystem.
